Pitpitunge out of Brave 1, Lopez waits for new opponent

The Filipino star Crisanto Pitpitunge will no longer be part of Brave Combat Federation 1: The Beginning card. The bantamweight got injured during his training and was forced to pull out of his fight against Mexico’s Ivan Lopez.

Pitpitunge, a 13-fight veteran in professional Mixed Martial Arts, with a record of eight wins and an Asian-Pacific title, suffered a knee injury during his preparation and won’t be able to fight on September 23rd.

His opponent, Ivan Lopez, one of the biggest names in the Mexican circuit with several international appearances, now waits for a replacement. With 15 professional fights and an impressive record, Lopez seeks his 13th win.

Brave Combat Federation 1: The Beginning will be headlined by the welterweight showdown between the two-time Middle-Eastern champion Mohammad Fakhreddine and the undefeated Brazilian prospect Thiago “Monstro” Vieira.

In the co-main event, the long-time rivals Rami Aziz and Abdulkareem Al Selwady will settle their differences in a much anticipated lightweight match. Brave 1 will take place at the Khalifa Sports City, in Isa Town, Bahrain, on September 23rd.
