JARRAH AL SELAWE VS CARL BOOTH REMATCH OFFICIAL FOR BRAVE 9; SCATIZZI VS LEARY ALSO ADDED

Welterweights and Lightweights have agreed to meet for November's Brave 9

Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions will settle a rivalry as Jarrah Al Selawe and Carl Booth have agreed to meet in a rematch of their first encounter back in 2014, which “The Bomber” Booth won by way of KO. They will face off once again on November 17th, as Brave makes its much-awaited comeback to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Officials announced the match-up today, and Al Selawe x Booth is the latest fight confirmed for Brave 9.

A title fight between Featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame and challenger Lucas Mineiro was recently announced, while another Welterweight showdown between Mohammad Fakhreddine and Tahar Hadbi has also been confirmed for Brave 9.

Booth is coming off his first promotional loss, as he dropped a title fight to new champion Carlston Harris on the co-main event of Brave 8: The Rise of Champions. He was due to meet Fakhreddine for the title, but the Lebanese phenom fell ill during the weight cut and was replaced by Harris, who made the most of his chance and grabbed a unanimous decision over “Bomber”.

Al Selawe, on the other hand, is still undefeated under the Brave banner, with two wins, over Daniele Scatizzi and Erik Carlsson. “The Jordanian Lion” lost to Booth in only his second professional fight. He boasts a record of 8 wins and 2 losses and will face off his former foe on the back of a four-fight winning streak.

After losing a unanimous decision to Al Selawe on his Brave debut, Italy’s Daniele Scatizzi has dropped down to Lightweight for his next fight. He will face Charlie Leary at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.

The Italian, who trains under John Kavanagh at SBG Ireland and alongside the likes of Conor McGregor and Brave Bantamweight Frans Mlambo, hopes to make an instant impact in his new division against Leary.

The Englishman is coming off one of the greatest fights in Brave history against Ottman Azaitar at Brave 4: Unstoppable. Even though he lost in the first round, Leary was praised by the likes of former Lightweight world champion Frankie Edgar.

Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions is set for November 17th, at the Khalifa Sports City Arena, as the promotion returns to the Kingdom of Bahrain after spending the year expanding its operations and putting on events in countries such as Brazil (twice), Mexico, Kazakhstan, India and the United Arab Emirates. Brave 9 will be the culmination of the International Combat Week, alongside the IMMAF World Championships, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
