BANTAMWEIGHTS KOOHEJI AND FARHAD LOOK FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WIN AT BRAVE 9
Bahrain’s Hamza Kooheji and India’s Mohammad Farhad will battle in yet another Bantamweight bout added to Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions, set for November 17th, at the Khalifa Sports City Arena. The fight was announced today by officials and will be a part of the groundbreaking card, which marks the return of Brave Combat Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Both fighters have two promotional wins, with local star Kooheji looking to get his third straight victory at home, after submitting Mohamed Mashaly at Brave 1: Bahrain, and getting the decision over Jeremy Pacatiw at Brave 2: Dynasty. The grappler was due to make his comeback at Brave 5: Go For Glory, but was forced to withdraw because of an injury.
Kooheji now faces the striker Farhad, one of Mumbai’s biggest idols and owner of the fastest knockout in Brave history, when he floored Irfan Khan at Brave 5 in 40 seconds. His other promotional win came at Brave’s first-ever card, a TKO victory against Zouhir Badre-Eddine. Overall, Farhad enters his bout against Kooheji on a six-fight win streak.
They join other two announced Bantamweight fights, including a bout for the inaugural divisional title. Gurdarshan Mangat is set to take on Stephen Loman for the belt, while Frenchman Arnold Quero makes his Brave debut against fast-rising Brazilian Felipe Efrain.
Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions will be the first event held in Bahrain this year. During 2017, Brave Combat Federation expanded its operations, holding groundbreaking events in Brazil (twice), Mexico, Kazakhstan, India and the United Arab Emirates. Brave 9 will be the culmination of the International Combat Week, alongside the IMMAF World Championships under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
