Boxing legend and MMA stars hail Brave 13’s impact in Europe

Brave 13: Europe Evolution marked the first time the biggest MMA promotion in the Middle East organized a show in European soil. With visits from combat sports superstars Conor McGregor, Amir Khan and Darren Till the show was deemed a success. But the fighters in action last Saturday claim it will leave an everlasting mark on the local MMA scene.

Co-main event winner Norman Parke, who made his Brave debut in front of his home crowd in Belfast, was all smiles after his decision victory over arch-rival Myles Price and is eager for Brave to come back to Europe soon.

“I would like to thank His Highness Sheikh Khalid for expanding the show all over. It’s a young promotion at the moment, but they’ve been having shows all over the world, and they’ve started to travel to Europe now. I feel there are a lot more shows coming to Europe next and it’s a good possibility that I could fight in those cards. I want to be a part of it because this is fresh, this is something new for me. It was an honor to be a part of this show, it was great, I really think it was”, said “Stormin’ Norman” after the event.

Former unified Lightweight unified world champion in boxing, Amir Khan was on deck to watch his first Brave show and was left impressed with the promotion’s efforts for European MMA.

“This is the first time I’ve been to a Brave event, and the crowd has been so great. They’re so loud! And the talent of these fighters is amazing too. I wish Brave and His Highness Sheikh Khalid all the best, as you’re doing a great job”, commented “King”.

A local star in the making, Northern Ireland’s Aidan James received a performance bonus after knocking out Tommy Martin in the third round. After a stellar amateur career, James is now 2-0 as a professional and has made a direct request for Brave to come back to Europe as soon as possible.

“This is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The production is outstanding, and I would like to ask His Highness Sheikh Khalid to come back to Europe as soon as possible, as I would like to fight near my home again and have enjoyed fighting for Brave”.
