Lucas “Mineiro” releases statement following Brave title loss
Former Brave interim lightweight champion Lucas “Mineiro” was dethroned at last F
Through his personal Instagram account, “Mineiro” thanked his fans for their support and explained his decision to fight regardless of the injury suffered during training.
“Stopping by to thank everyone for their support and worry. I want to say that I’m OK. I tried fighting with an injury, which is something that takes nothing away from my opponent, who left the cage as a true champion. I took the chance and paid for it”.
Lucas also said he would be interested in a rematch with Al-Selwady, when he’s “back to 100%” and thanked Brave Combat Federation for the opportunity and continued support.
“Now, it’s time to recover and come back 100% for a rematch and this time there will be a fight! I’d like to thank all my sponsors, my team Capital da Luta and my family. Thank you, Brave for all the support!”.
Lucas “Mineiro” is already back in São Paulo, Brazil, where he resides and trains, and is expected to go through surgery in the coming days. A timetable for his return has yet to be set.
