BRAVE NEWS #29: Brave champions’ holiday season; Ahmed Amir asks for a title shot
Brave News, the online show that keeps fans worldwide updated on everything related to the fastest-growing MMA promotion in the planet, comes back this week with updates from our world champions back in Brazil, where Brave’s Welterweight champion Carlston Harris got his boxing license, which allows him to teach and compete in Rio de Janeiro. Will Carlston, whose background is the noble art, be the next MMA champion to test himself into the ring?
Also in Brazil, Light Heavyweight champion Klidson de Abreu took a break from his training routine and went home for the holiday season, which included a celebration of his and his father’s birthdays to the Amazon. Klidson, of course, took his Brave belt alongside to Manaus and carried it in every picture. Brave Combat Federation wishes a Happy Birthday to the first-ever promotional Light Heavyweight champion.
Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman is using his meteoric rise to inspire the youth and future generations. “The Sniper” spent the holiday season with the Barangay community, where he was presented with a special award and gave a speech to the people.
In France, Featherweight champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame is giving back to the community while he waits for his first title defense. “Smile” and his brother and coach Amine opened the doors of their gym, La Bonne Ecole, in Montpellier, for hospitalized kids and, besides the free martial arts classes, gathered toys and chocolates to make their Christmas happier.
Last but not least, one of Brave’s most successful Lightweights has his eyes set on a title shot next. Currently, on a three-win streak, including a decision win over Erik Carlsson at Brave 9, Egypt’s Ahmed Amir talked to “The Fan Garage” and said it’s time for him to fight for the belt. Will The Butcher challenge for the Lightweight title next?
