Brave News #5
Brave News, the weekly online show that keeps fans posted on everything Brave related, drops this week with a host of news to get everyone excited for the promotion’s future. Four new signings have pumped up the Brave roster as former UFC fighters Wendell de Oliveira and Wagner Gomes have signed a deal with the promotion, which also added Pablo Sabori and Mexican MMA icon Antonio Duarte. They are expected to debut in the next two Brave shows in Tijuana, Mexico, on July 29th, and two weeks later, in Curitiba, Brazil.
Speaking of Brave 8: The Rise of Champions, co-main event title contenders Carl Booth and Mohammad Fakhreddine have spoken exclusively with Brave News about their matchup, which will determine the first ever Brave Welterweight champion. They promised fireworks, with “The Latest” claiming the Englishman isn’t ready to face him. “Bomber” responded by saying he’s more than ready to take the belt back to the United Kingdom.
Elsewhere, Gurdarshan Mangat has been giving back to the Canadian community by participating in the Youth Development Program in Vancouver. While there, “Saint Lion” met with NFL superstar and New York Giants Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and posted a picture of their encounter online.
Lucas “Mineiro” Martins might be next in line to face Featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame, but he’ll have to wait a little more to get his shot at the title. The Chute Boxe Diego Lima product has undergone a hand surgery and will be sidelined until the end of the year, but looks forward to challenging “Smile” in December, according to a “SportsRants” interview.
While he waits for “Mineiro”, Boudegzdame has been enjoying the significant impact that the first Brave Films initiative has made worldwide. “Smile”, the feature film that documents his rise from contender to world champion, has been included in IMDB, the world’s largest movie database, and is collecting positive reviews. The full movie is available on Brave’s Youtube channel on www.youtube.com/BraveMMAF.
After seeing his dream of a Carl Booth rematch postponed, Tahar Hadbi, France’s number 2 Welterweight, has wasted no time trying to get a new opponent as he called out Jarrah Al-Silawi, who’s coming off two wins in his two Brave appearances. “The Jordanian Lion” has accepted the challenge, with both of them hoping to fight in an eventual Jordan card.
Brave News drops exclusively on YouTube on a weekly basis, on Brave Combat Federation’s official channel at https://www.youtube.com/BraveMMAF.
