H.H. Sheikh Khalid confirms Brave’s return to Bahrain for November 17th

Brave 9 is set to take place where it all started for the fastest-rising promotion in MMA and event will take place during International Combat Week

After spending most of 2017 expanding its brand around the world, Brave Combat Federation is set for a homecoming November 17th. Brave 9 has been officially announced for the Kingdom of Bahrain by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa through social media and will take place during the International Combat Week, set for the week starting on November 12th up to November 19th.

Aside from Brave 9, the ICW will also play host to the IMMAF World Championships, which marks the first time the “World Cup” of Amateur MMA will take place outside the United States. The Kingdom of Bahrain will have a week full of activities related to mixed martial arts, culminating with both events.

After starting its operations in July of last year, Brave Combat Federations held its first event in September, with Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady coming out victorious against Rami Aziz in the main event. Less than two months later, Brave 2: Dynasty saw the promotion returning to Khalifa Sports City Arena for a Welterweight main event for the ages as Carl “The Bomber” Booth TKO’d Gadzhimusa Gaziev in the second round.

In March of 2017, however, Brave started a world tour that saw the organization putting on events all over the world: Brazil (twice), Mexico, India, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates have hosted Brave events throughout 2017. During trips to Abu Dhabi and Curitiba, the promotion also crowned three champions, as Elias Boudegzdame became the first Featherweight titleholder, while Carlston Harris and Klidson de Abreu captured the Welterweight and Light Heavyweight titles, respectively.

While there have been no bouts announced yet for Brave 9, French Welterweight Tahar Hadbi has claimed he will be a part of Brave’s return to Bahrain, and promises to make up for his controversial debut at Brave 5: Go For Glory.
