Najam Khan inspires the MMA world in his debut at Brave CF
October 30, 2018
Brave Combat Federation continues its journey supporting athletes and helping them to realise their dreams. The latest chapter of success came from the win of Najam Khan from Waziristan, Pakistan. Najam Khan works as a gardener to make ends meet. However what makes his life indeed challenging is that he was born with a condition that affected his ability to walk. But the amateur fighter who has a clean record was not willing to give up on his dreams to be a professional fighter. Khan made his professional debut at Brave Combat Federation against Mohammad Wasim from Afghanistan.
The welterweight from Team Fight Fortress stepped into the cage after overcoming polio in his childhood. Khan went on to fight Wasim in an exchange that tested both men to the limits. The bout seemed to slip off from the hands of Najam as Mohammad Wasim made successful takedowns. As the bout entered the third round, Najam Khan received an illegal knee which slowed the fighter down. However Mohammad Wasim tried his best to stay out of range of the striker from Team Fight Fortress. But by the end of the third round, Najam Khan locked in the choke as Mohammad Wasim went for the takedown. Najam Khan pulled a Ninja Stranglehold which was deep that Wasim did not even tap but was left cold and unconscious. Najam Khan won the bout by technical submission to have his hands raised not only defeating his opponent but also his circumstances and polio that slowed him in his life.
