Alan Omer (19-5) will make his Brave Combat Federation debut on December 2nd at Brave 2: Dynasty and will fight for the first ever Brave featherweight title.
The 28-year-old Kurdish fighter, who fights out of Germany but hails from Iraq, is a well-rounded mixed martial artist who can hold his own in every facet of the game. He’s got good enough hands to stop you and some high level grappling skills which makes him very dangerous off his back.
Holding various promotion belts and fighting opponents of the highest levels, Omer has arrived in Brave and is excited to have been given a title shot against a very credible opponent in Masio Fullen(11-6).
Omer said: I am very happy that BRAVE has given me the opportunity to be the first fighter ever to challenge for one of their titles. I have watched their first event and I was very impressed with what I saw. I believe that Masio will be a great opponent as he has that UFC background and a very well-rounded style that will make for an interesting, crowd pleasing fight. It’s been two and a half years since I last competed in the Middle East and I cannot wait to be back!”
Brave CEO Mohammed Shahid will be thrilled with this match-up between two very evenly matched fighters, who have world class skills and are very well trained in all aspects of mixed martial arts.
Omer packs a legit grappling style and has won a large number of his fights via a variety of submissions, but generally his most dangerous attack is the Triangle choke. His ground game may be his biggest strength but he also has excellent hands and can’t be underestimated standing up.
Conversely Masio Fullen is a former Taekwondo World Champion with some excellent striking techniques and this may be where he’s most dangerous, yet he can’t be underestimated on the mat and is very capable of pulling off slick submissions.
That’s what makes this title fight so exciting, it could literally end anywhere at any time, and is a very close call between two world class fighters.
Brave 2: Dynasty takes place at Khalifa Sports City, Isa Town, Bahrain on December 2nd and tickets are on sale now via www.bravefights.com.
