Daniel Swain Faces Undefeated Alex “Leko” At Brave 2: Dynasty
Daniel “Agent Orange” Swain (16-7) has bravely stepped–up to face the undefeated Alex “Leko” Da Silva Coehlo (17-0) at Brave 2: Dynasty on December 2nd.
Swain has taken the fight on 4 weeks notice and the self-confessed “ginger looking to injure” faces an almighty challenge in the Brazilian, who has finished all seventeen of his opponents.
However, as Brave 1 “The Beginning ” proved (remember Gaziev’s win over Vieira?) the underdog is always dangerous and Swain, a product of American Kickboxing Academy, has plenty of finishing prowess – on the feet and on the ground. In particular he has a tight ground game and has finished 50% of his victories via submission. He’s got a knack for making people tap.
Da Silva will fight for the first time outside his home country, Brazil, and one glance at his record is enough to make even the hardest man cringe.
If you delve deeper and watch his fights, the power in his fists will send a few shivers down your spine.
In his last fight, he brutally picked apart and dismantled Marcelo Piazza, battering him until the referee finally called a halt to the contest in the second round, saving him from further punishment. It was a scary statement to the world from a fighter who looks ready to announce himself on the big stage.
Da Silva is a thrilling fighter recently signed to Brave, who has very heavy hands, and vicious kicks which fly in from all angles. He’s a true finisher and a wonderful addition to the Brave roster.
Brave President Shahid said of “Leko”: “We are delighted to be bringing Alex into the fold. He is one of the top prospects not only in Brazil, but globally at featherweight and will complement our growing Featherweight roster.”
Daniel Swain will stand in “Leko’s” way and you can be sure he won’t go down without a fight at Khalifa Sports City.
