Russian newcomer Akhmed Magomedov will make his promotional debut at Brave Combat Federation’s first trip to Southeast Asia as a new bout has been added to the already star-filled Brave 12: KHK Legacy, set for May 11th, in Jakarta, Indonesia. He will take on Anthony “The Archangel” Engelen in a Catchweight of 68 kg., officials announced today.
Magomedov is the latest KHK MMA star to feature at Brave 12: KHK Legacy. He trains out of Bahrain, but is originally from Dagestan, Russia, and has been recruited by Eldar Eldarov, who faces Brian Hooi in the main event of the evening. A rising prospect at 22, Akhmed boasts a record of three wins in as many bouts.
He will face a veteran of the sport in Engelen. “The Archangel”, 32, has nine professional fights to his name and has a record of six wins and three losses. The Dutchman, who fights out of Jakarta, Indonesia, last competed back in March, and lost by submission, interrupting a two-fight win streak.
Brave 12: KHK Legacy is headlined by a Lightweight duel between Eldar Eldarov and Brian Hooi, with possible title implications. The co-main event will feature a Welterweight bout between top contenders Jarrah Al-Selawe and Tahar Hadbi. Also set for the event are the promotional debuts of former UFC fighters Mehdi Baghdad and Leonardo “Macarrão” Mafra. They take on Pawel Kielek and Gadzhimusa Gaziev, respectively.
