WATCH – Road to BRAVE 24: London explores Jenkins and ‘Mineiro’ rivalry
BRAVE 24: London is getting closer and, with just a few days to go until the fastest-growing promotion in the world makes its much-awaited England debut, officials have released the pre-fight video of Road to BRAVE, exploring the brewing rivalry between Featherweight world champion Bubba Jenkins and former Lightweight titleholder Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, who will fight in the main event.
Bubba Jenkins has been very vocal in the last few days on how he feels his bout against Martins will go and has shown, on Road to BRAVE 24: London, how his preparation has taken place, before directing more trash talk at the challenger.
“I’m different than these other champions. Some of them were given their position. Some have talked their way into their position. But somebody trying to bury me didn’t know they were planting a seed. And now that I’ve grown into a tree, that overlooks its greatness and destiny, the fruit that I bear it’s different and rare. I’m not like them. Soon he will know. I am not like his previous foes”, said Jenkins.
“Mineiro”, on the other hand, has chosen to talk strictly about his training and hasn’t talked trash to the champion, while also thanking BRAVE CF for the opportunity to headline a seminal show for the promotion.
“I’ve been coming off a lot of five-round fights, so I’ve been training hard for that. I think this is going to be the biggest-ever BRAVE CF event. I’m honored and grateful to be a part of this, to be in the main event of that show. I think there will always be pressure, and I just want to put on a show for the London people”, commented Lucas.
BRAVE 24: London will take place on July 25th, at the Copper Box Arena, inside the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in London, England. The groundbreaking show is an invite-only, exclusive experience, set to connect the highest-level of personalities to world-class mixed martial arts, with the goal of empowering the sport and taking it to the next level.
